The kitchen is large and friendly and the town of Qualicum Beach is midway up Vancouver Island, perfect for exploring the West Coast of Canada. Golf, salmon fishing, and spectacular scenery all within 10 minutes drive. Set in tall Douglas Firs, this cedar house is comfortable and friendly.

Five golf courses in the vicinity, 1.5 hrs to deep ocean port at Port Alberni, 3 hrs to the capital city of Victoria, easy access by foot to parks and hiking. There is an airport and shuttle bus to the nearest terminals and easy regional transit by bus. There is a local airport 5 minutes from our house, with regular scheduled flights to Vancouver International Airport. The spectacular local beaches, wildlife, and views are famous and there are many local festivals all year long. Search for "qualicum beach" on Google for more information.
